CREATING A NEW COMMUNITY
The Skelton Lakes new community will provide high quality living across approximately 30 hectares located within the Aire Valley. Around 1800 residential homes will be built just 5 miles away from all the benefits of Leeds City Centre. Facilities for residents will include primary and secondary ‘through’ schools, a local centre including retail and community hubs and outdoor leisure opportunities with extensive public open spaces and a nature reserve around Skelton Lake.

PLANS
The new community is a project with 3 phases and is being driven by Templegate Developments Limited, a joint venture partnership of Evans Property Group and Keyland Developments. Phase 1 incorporates a total of 27 acres and will enable the delivery of a combined 415 homes with building works starting in 2023 by housebuilders Avant Homes and Evans Homes.
Appointed contractor Hall Construction Services is now on-site delivering phase 2 of the scheme, which is funded by a £20M Home Building Fund loan from Homes England. The Homes England loan will fund the delivery of infrastructure and ground preparation works for all phases and phase 2 will deliver over 27 net acres of fully serviced development plots by Spring 2024.
The entire scheme is set to make a significant contribution to the region’s housing targets, in addition to enabling the creation of more than 500 new construction and operational jobs.
